Gain control of today’s powerful A/V technology and engage your audience with stellar original video content

These days, the tools necessary to produce spectacular high-quality videos are more accessible than ever. Still, even the most savvy and highly motivated do-it-yourselfers struggle to actualize their ideas for a compelling video project. The fact is, even with access to the best technology, producing a polished video remains an extremely complex process with countless potential pitfalls.

In this course, instructor Jeff Shaffer will guide you through the entire procedure of using high-definition DSLR cameras, audio recording equipment, and Adobe Premiere editing software to produce an awesome professional-quality short video. Over the course of ten sessions, you will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of production, from developing a story to fine-tuning picture tone and color. With the expert guidance of a seasoned professional, you will learn to break down your project into its myriad component parts, and then put it all together into a seamless, sophisticated 3-to-4-minute video.

You will learn the nitty-gritty of:

• Pre-production: story development, assembling cast and crew, location scouting, and scheduling
• Shot planning & execution: camera and accessory choice, shooting angles, and camera movement
• Audio recording: on-and off camera options, microphone placement and sound syncing
• Organizing footage: Adobe Premiere logging procedures and data management
