Description:

A great camera is only as good as your understanding and control of it. If you are new to shooting with a Digital SLR or find yourself staying within the confines of Auto and Program Modes, this is the class for you. Once you have a solid handle on how the elements of exposure work together, you will cut out a majority of the common problems that make for lackluster photos and find a new sense of control over your images.

Students learn how aperture and shutter speed are combined to achieve a properly exposed photograph and to direct the viewer's attention in order to create strong, evocative pictures. The primer also covers topics like ISO, using the light meter, and composition. Students will leave with a better understanding of camera functions and how to make the fantastic pictures they've been striving for all along.
