| Description: |
In this intermediate course students refine their technical and creative skills in digital photography. Through lectures, group discussions, and critiques students work toward developing a personal vision. Slide presentations on historical and contemporary artwork introduce different genres of photography, including portraiture, landscape, and documentary. Using Adobe Lightroom, students formulate their own sense of workflow and efficiency for sorting and editing images, fine-tuning image adjustment skills, and creating black-and-white inkjet prints. In addition to class sessions, students are strongly encouraged to attend optional shooting trips as well as museum and gallery visits. |
