This introductory class is for digital photographers who want to establish an intuitive, customized workflow from capture to print. Adobe Lightroom is a simple, yet professional program that allows for organizing, adjusting, and outputting large quantities of digital images.

In this class students learn to sort images into easily manageable and individualized databases, color correct and retouch images, and export images for various purposes, including printing, emailing, slide shows, and websites.

Materials Needed:
  • Digital images on CD or jump drive
  • Basic Mac knowledge

Class Fee:
  • $300 + lab fee of $50
Instructor: Alyssa Robb graduated from Oberlin College in 2005 with BA in Environmental Studies and Biology. She moved to New York City in 2005 to continue her work in environmental studies and photography as an assistant and freelance photojournalist at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). In 2008 she left NRDC to pursue a career as a freelance photographer full time. She has studied and assisted teaching the International Center of Photography, worked as a freelance photo assistant, and taught photography for after school arts programs in Connecticut and New York City for four years. Last year Alyssa moved to Philadelphia where she is currently photographing and teaching photography to adults and kids.
