Description:

This class will cover the Zone System throughly: from the basic understanding and use of the light meter; interpretation of the zone system in terms of pre-visualization of images; proper negative exposure and development in order to assure that your negative contains all the vital information necessary to print an expressive print.

Through testing we will determine a personal film speed for each type of film you use and a development time to accompany that specific film.

As a part of workshop, there will be a shooting trip on where students will test their finding as well as instructor will go over students shooting aproach and techniques.

Instructors:

Kevin Martini-Fuller: During the past 25 plus years he has been active in developing and expanding his talent and sharing his knowledge with others through his teaching. Kevin divides his time between teaching, producing new work, and creating portfolios. Two new portfolios, "The Idaho years, 1975-1990", and "Studio closed every Friday" are scheduled to be released soon.

He currently lives, teaches photography, and pursues his creative photographic interests in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His area of expertise and passion is in historical photographic processes, specifically photogravure and carbon/carbro printing.
