| Description: |
Discover the beauty and painterly quality of the gum bichromate process. This workshop will focus on the light-sensitivity of chromium salts mixed with watercolor pigment to render images in multiple layers on rag paper. Saturated images can be made from a broad palette of color printed from any light-resist such as large format negatives (view camera, pinhole, digital, enlarged negatives, etc.), cliché-verre, drawings and virtually anything that will block out varying amounts of light. This workshop will be presented in both a historic and contemporary context. |
