Description:

In this two weekend workshop, participants will attempt to view their work in light of the fine balance between form and content.

Through discussions and examples of work participants will understand the elements constituting form in photography and the different options available in the field as well as in the darkroom or on the computer. There will be time in between the two weekends to work on individual assignments which can be either a continuation of one’s project or something new. During that time, participants will make photographs with particular emphasis on the balance between form and content. The second weekend of the workshop we will conduct another critique session looking at each participants’ work from the assignments.

This workshop is for photographers who have been taking pictures for sometime and are looking for a critique based workshop to help evaluate and organize their work and the type of pictures they make.
