- Young eyes, new visions

Olga Dekalo, Photography Classes and Workshops at Project Basho in Philadelphia PA
Olga Dekalo

Description:

This class is for High School students who want to explore their individual creativity and interest in photography. The summer class provides a great opportunity for young photographers, ages 14-18, to develop a photographic expression and a chance to build their portfolios for future studies.

Through this course students will be introduced to technical and aesthetic aspects of black-and-white photography, including the use of a 35mm manual camera, basic and experimental darkroom practices and lectures on contemporary and historic photography. Students then will be able to build on their photographic training by implementing their learned vocabulary to discuss their work in class.

In addition to in-class meetings, there will be a museum and gallery visit to awaken inspiration.
