Description: In this workshop you will learn basic studio lighting techniques with a particular emphasis on understanding of usage of a light meter in constructing different lighting senarios. The workshop will cover topics such as the differences between strobe and continuos light, the different light modifiers, and characteristics of light. Instrcutor will discuss these technical details in the context of portrait lighting as well as still-life setting. After this workshop you will have an solid understanding of studio lighting and equipment involved esstional to developing your possiblities and further refining your approach to subjects.
Schedule: One-weekend workshop
Saturday & Sunday, 9 am - 5 pm
February 9 & 10
Materials needed: Camera equipment (anything from 35mm to digital cameras)
Handheld lgiht meter
Prerequisite: Photographic Vision I or portfolio review
Fee: $340+ studio fee of $50
Enrollment: Limited to 9

Instructor: Clint Blowers: as a graduate of photography program at The University of the Arts, he honed his technical skills and began building his commercial career in Philadelphia— working first with local clients, and later adding regional and national clients to the list. His style incorporates natural and studio-built environments with layers of lights to illuminate the subject matter skillfully. Always visually captivated by textured surfaces, Clint strives to integrate them into both his commercial and personal work.
