	Description:	This is a one-day intensive workshop open to advanced platinum/palladium printers who would like to quickly get up to speed with the gum over platinum process. You will be expected to arrive with completed platinum/palladium prints made on papers specified by the instructor. We will start the day by learning to quickly apply gelatin sizing to these prints. We will have a short lecture/discussion while the sizing dries, then spend the rest of the day applying gum bichromate layers over the sized platinum/palladium prints. Be prepared to work and learn quickly and go home with perhaps the most beautiful prints you've ever made. Lunch and materials included.

	Materials needed:	4x5 up to 8x10 pt/pd prints on Fabriano Artistico Corresponding negatives Apron
	Prerequisite:	Photographic Vision I or portfolio review
	Fee:	$210 + $40 of lab fee

	Instructor:	Kerik Kouklis: a fine art photographer born and raised in California. With a background in music and geology, Kerik combines a contemporary eye with 19th century photographic processes to produce work that is uniquely his own. Kerik has become highly skilled and respected practitioner of the platinum/palladium process and the combined gum over platinum process. Kerik has been teaching workshops in these processes since 1997, both in his home studio and at various locations around the US and Canada. His work is currently represented by galleries and art dealers in California, Denver, Houston and New York.
