Workshop Proposal
We are always interested in working with talented instructors to offer exciting classes and workshops. Our main goal is to teach the art and craft of photography in order to foster an appreciation of the medium. Classes and workshops evolve from fundamental themes that are important to us: craft, aesthetics, and history. We would like to develop our program further along these themes to offer unique learning experiences at Project Basho. Implementation of themes can be literal or interpretive.
Our classes usually run about 3 hours per session over the course of 5 to 10 weeks. Our weekend workshops run from 10am – 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, workshops tend to be more topic specific, i.e. particular shooting or printing techniques, but are not limited to these examples. Logistically, if you are outside of Philadelphia with a substantial trip required for the occasion, we would recommend you develop your idea in a compressed timeframe.
We run on a semester system throughout the year: Fall, Sep-Dec; Spring, Jan-Apr; and Summer, May-Aug.
To submit your proposal for a photography class or workshop our studio please use our application form. We will review all submitted ideas and assess the feasibility of the proposed course from several perspectives. If your proposal is promising, we will contact you on how to proceed.
We will follow up with you shortly. Please allow at least two weeks for us to review your proposal. We look forward to collaborating with you. Thank you for your interest in Project Basho.
