Studio Monitors
Project Basho is currently seeking dedicated individuals to assist in general studio activities. The position requires a regular commitment of 5 hours a week. This is not a paid position but volunteers have the benefit of having access to our facilities and of taking classes and workshops at a discounted rate.
- Main Responsibilities
- Setting up and breaking down the facility
- Preparing darkroom chemistry
- Maintaining a safe, organized and comfortable working environment
- Answering basic questions of other darkroom users
- Requirements
- Strong understanding of b&w darkroom practices
- Some understanding of darkroom equipment and chemistry
- Strong involvement in photography
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An interest in learning more about photography
Previous experience of darkroom maintenance is preferred but not required. There will be several training sessions. If you are interested in the monitor position, please prepare a simple resume listing relevant experiences and include it in your application form.
