Since our inception, Project Basho has been striving to create a vibrant community for photography enthusiasts. We have developed a core series of classes and programs, and last year we expanded our facility to offer a gallery space dedicated to the medium of photography. Since Project Basho Gallery opened last winter, we have actively engaged with emerging and established artists both nationally and internationally to showcase unique and visually stimulating photographs in Philadelphia. This year we have another expansion plan at Project Basho that will increase the scope of opportunities available at our studio. Our goal is to add digital photography to our class and workshop offerings. Money raised from this year's fundraiser will specifically be used to buy workstations, printers and image editing softwares. These programs will approach the digital medium as a means of personal expression while carefully aligning with the development and technological context in the history of photography. Your ongoing support is always appreciated and your participation in this year's fundraiser will help us achieve these goals. There are quite a few different options this year designed to meet the interests of the diverse community we serve. We hope you can join us in this year's fundraising efforts at Project Basho. We thank you in advance for your support and participation. You have our promise that we will continue to work diligently on fostering a culture around photography in Philadelphia and beyond. |
